Ø     Rules Of  Minor P assport : It is assumed that consent of both parents is a available, unless apecified.  For minor applicants, present address proof document in the name of parent(s) can be submitted. It is advised to carry original and self-attested copies of parents passport to Passport Seva Kendra (PSK), in case parents possess passport. For minor applicants, documents can be attested by parents. The minor applicant is eligible for Non-ECR till he/she attains the age of 18 years. Answer: Minors age 16 must establish parental consent when applying for a new passport. Passport Delivery Rules: According to the rules, an applicant's passport has to be dispatched only to the address that he or she mentions in the application form. However, if the address changes, unfortunately, he or she has to update the current address with a valid proof. What if I an not at home when passport is delivered? In case of absence of the applicant, it is at the discretion of the postman to hand over the envelope to some family member of the applicant by checking their/applicant's ID proof or to return the passport to the issuing Regional Passport Office.
