Ø   Rules Of 
Minor Passport :

  • It is assumed that consent of both parents is a available, unless apecified. 
  • For minor applicants, present address proof document in the name of parent(s) can be submitted.
  • It is advised to carry original and self-attested copies of parents passport to Passport Seva Kendra (PSK), in case parents possess passport.
  • For minor applicants, documents can be attested by parents.
  • The minor applicant is eligible for Non-ECR till he/she attains the age of 18 years.

Ø   Is presence of both parents require for minor passport?

Now, it has become mandatory for both the parents to visit Passport Seva Kendra along with minor applicant. The parents need to submit Annexure-H along parents passport, if they have.


Ø   Can i get a passport without my parents?

Answer: Minors age 16 must establish parental consent when applying for a new passport. If consent is not implied on the application form, then it can be provided in written form or by the presence of a parent. You can have the statement of consent from notarized at the presence of a parent. you can have statement of consent from notarized at the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate general.
