Ø     Rules Of  Minor P assport : It is assumed that consent of both parents is a available, unless apecified.  For minor applicants, present address proof document in the name of parent(s) can be submitted. It is advised to carry original and self-attested copies of parents passport to Passport Seva Kendra (PSK), in case parents possess passport. For minor applicants, documents can be attested by parents. The minor applicant is eligible for Non-ECR till he/she attains the age of 18 years. Ø     Is presence of both parents require for minor passport ? Now, it has become mandatory for both the parents to visit Passport Seva Kendra along with minor applicant. The parents need to submit Annexure-H along parents passport, if they have. Ø     Can i get a passport without my parents? Answer: Minors age 16 must establish parental consent when applying for a new passport. If consent is not implied on the application form, then it can be provided in written form or by the presence of a parent.

§     Minor Passport Validity: Five years What would be the validity of a minor's passport ? A: The validity of a minor's passport is restricted to five years or till they attain the age of 18, ehichever is earlier. §     How long is minor passport valid? 5 years If you were age 16 or older when your passport was issued, your passport is valid for 10 years. If you were under 16 when your passport was issued, your passport is valid for 5 years. §     How often do minors have to renew passport? For children aged 15 and under, passports are valid for 5 years. Children aged 16 and 17 years will be issued with 10-year passports.

Documnets required for passport for uneducated : Birth certificate issued by a Municipal Authority or district office of the Registrar of Births & Deaths; Date of birth certificate from the school last attended by the applicant or any other recignized educational institution; or an Affidavit sworn before a Magistrate/Notary stating date/place of birth by illiterate or semi-illiterate applicants. Passport Delivery Rules: According to the rules, an applicant's passport has to be dispatched only to the address that he or she mentions in the application form. However, if the address changes, unfortunately, he or she has to update the current address with a valid proof. What if I an not at home when passport is delivered? In case of absence of the applicant, it is at the discretion of the postman to hand over the envelope to some family member of the applicant by checking their/applicant's ID proof or to return the passport to the issuing Regional Passport Office. Do I need to be at home when my passport is delivered? What if I an not at home on delivery attempt of my document?  A signature is required for all deliveries, with a valid form of identification. Valid forms of identification are: passport , UK driving licence, national ID card, credit / debit card or utility bills.
