You can lodge a grievance with the Call Centre at 1800-258-1800. A grievance can also be lodged on the website www.passportindia.gov.in or by visiting helpdesx at your nearest Passport Seva Kendra.


Ø   Do police call passport verification?

In most cases, the police verification is done after the applicant has submitted the form and all related required documents, annexures, etc. If the information is accurate, the police station notifies the passport office who in turn issues the passport to the applicant.


Ø   What happens if police ask for money during passport verification?
