Diplomatic passport:

Diplomatic and Official passport are issued to people holding diplomatic status or deputed by the Government of India for official duty abroad. Normally applications for Diplomatic and Official passports are entertained only at the Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) Division, Patiala House, New Delhi.


Who are eligible for diplomatic passport?

Diplomatic passports in India are issued to the following: All Indian Foreign Services and the Ministry of  External Affairs (MoEA) officers traveling abroad on official business. People holding diplomatic status. Officials deputed by Government of India for official duty abroad.


How do I get diplomatic passport?
Applications can be filled out and signed in the Employee Services Center, Passport Office, Room 1252, Department of State. You must present your travel orders. First-time applicants must also present proof of U.S. citizenship (certified copy of birth certificate or naturalization papers).
