 An Emergency Travel Document can be issued to an Indian on vacation, sightseeing or residing in a foreign country. The document is given in situations where a new passport cannot be issued without approval from India.

  • Visit the Passport Seva website.
  • Use your login ID and password to log in to your account.
  • Choose between Fresh and Reissue of passport.
  • Next, select a Tatkal.
  • Fill the required fields in the application form and submit. 


What are the documents required for emergency passport ?

The list of documents required in order to apply for Tatkal Passport are given below: Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) Service Photo ID Card , issued by State/Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Local bodies or Public Limited Companies. Certificate of SC/ST/OBC.
