 Documents Required for Passport Renewal:

Ø    Original old Passport.

Ø    Self-attested copies of the first two and last two pages of the passport.

Ø   Self-attested copy of the ECR/Non-ECR page.

Ø   Self-attested copy of the page of obsercation, if any, made by the Passport Issuing Authority. 


Is Aadhaar mandatory for passport renewal?

Aadhar card has been made compulsory for application as well as renewal of passport. It is also compulsory for NRI and their bank accounts. 


How many days before passport can be renewed?

You can apply for a re-issue of passport up to 1 year before the expiry and not earlier. However, in case of any change of personal particulars, lost/damaged, Exhaustion of pages you may apply for re-issue of passport.
