An official passport, or service passport, is a type of passport that is issued to government employees. Its purpose is it to let officials in the destination country know that the bearer is entering the country on offficial business, representing their country in an official capacity. 

How do i get official passport ?

Steps 1: First, you have to register through the passport Seva Online Portal.

Step  2: you have to log in to the Passport Seva Online Portal with the Login ID created in the previous step.

Step  3:  You have to click on the Apply for Diplomatic/Official Passport link .

 Who all get official passport in india ?

All Indian Foreign Services and the Ministery of External Affairs (MoEA) officers traveling abroad on official business. People holding diplomatic status. Officials deputed by Government of India for official duty abroad. family member traveling abroad with their dependent status or official one.
